Scrollan, the sheltie
Given name: Lucy
Nickname: Scrollan
Age: 2004-10-14 (8 years)
Breed: Shetland Sheepdog
Scrollan is my lil' furry fox, I've had her since 2011. I was actually looking for a Welsh Corgi puppy after Balooka, my very first own dog passed away. Eventually I found the 5 year old Sheltie on the internet, searching for a new home since she didn't get along with children, they said. So we went to look at her and see if she was getting along with us and our dachshund Miksa who was still alive by that time, and everything worked perfectly. Scrollan was a little modest at the first meeting, but she was very nice and gentle, she seemed humble. I didn't need to take much time to make the decision that she was a good dog for me to develop my own communication skills, since she was so easy-going. So just a few weeks after, she moved in with us.
Scrollan grew quickly in our hearts and got her place established in my family. She has developed a more confident personality and even though she doesn't like when other individuals are too pushy, she works perfectly with other humans and dogs and has by now no problem with children. She LOVES getting attention and she will do anything to receive a snack, so training tricks with her is very easy (and funny). We use to joke about that it's hard to tell if she is intelligent or not, because she snaps up and learns quickly and is brilliant in remembering commandos etc, but when you leave her to figure something out by herself the brain stops working and she will just look at you and try to get your attention by whining and patting you with her paws.
